2011 started with a number of job loss announcements but there has also been some good news.
Cork Medical Centre, Ireland’s newest private hospital, today announced 100 new jobs. This follows the announcement earlier this week of 1,000 new jobs in Intel who are based at Leixlip in Co Kildare. Other good news included 70 new jobs coming on stream at medical devices firm ClearStream Technologies in Enniscorthy and another 30 new jobs at software firm Murex in Dublin which is based on the Shelbourne Road. Zeus, a medical device company in Co Donegal have also announced 75 jobs as part of a €10m investment.
There definitely is some good news mixed with the bad.
