Lean Six Sigma continues to be a success in delivering significant business improvements in both manufacturing and service industries and has become the process improvement methodology of choice for organisations that are serious about achieving world class performance in quality and customer satisfaction.

However, many of these same organisations have made costly mistakes during the initial implementation of their Lean Six Sigma Programme.  This two day programme will provide senior management with the knowledge and know how to implement a Lean Six Sigma programme roll-out successfully and avoid costly implementation errors.  It will also provide managers with the skills necessary to Identify, Prioritise and Mentor Lean Six Sigma projects to success.

  • Programme Managers or Black Belts who will be tasked with implementing a Lean Six Sigma Programme
  • Departmental Managers or those tasked with Championing Lean Six Sigma projects
  • Senior Management who wish to gain a more in-depth understanding about Lean Six Sigma so they can provide a supportive role.

The programme is suitable for Managers from both the Service & Transaction and Manufacturing Environments.

Participants achieve the following learning outcomes from the programme;

  • Understand the key concepts of Lean Six Sigma
  • Identity how it can be applied to process improvement in both Service & Transaction and Manufacturing environments
  • Discuss Lean Six Sigma implementation and idenify key roles and organisational issues that may need to be addressed
  • Understand the importance of the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) in conjunction with the review of some Lean Six Sigma case studies
  • Gain a knowledge of some of the Key Tools within the DMAIC to facilitate effective Project Phase Reviews
  • Review the project selection process and understand the ingredients of a successful project
  • Develope a sample draft Project Charter
  • Understand the deliverables required from each phase of a Lean Six Sigma Project
  • Understand their role and responsibilities as a Champion in terms of successful Project Delivery.
